Why did you join the Skills Accelerator opportunity?

I joined the program because I wanted to upskill myself digitaly. I wanted to gain more experience on how the technology side of things work and also to use the experience and new skills I'd learn in my everyday working life. I love the fact that Rlabs main or focus is to influence the youth and get them more involved .

How has Skills Accelerator benefited you thus far?

It benefitted me in many way. I learnt through the program how to create websites and someone close to me asked me to create a website for their business. The program is where you get to learn and make something of yourself by using that skills you have gained and turning it into a business on the side.

What were some of your highlights?

I don't quite have any low lights but the highlights for me would be the amazing experience of leadership on a Wednesday. The things that they get us to work through in order for us to become better individuals and better at our jobs.

What would you tell unemployed youth about this opportunity?

Never give up on your dream. Always work towards your dream. The time and when you want your dream to happen might change but it will eventually happen. Never change your dream change the plans. Always put your all in whatever you do.
