Why did you join the Skills Accelerator opportunity?

I joined the skills accelerator program to increase my digital skills seeing that our world is growing more  digitally. I also   joined the program because seeing that i studied engineering and I want to go into the tech world and be successful in the digital world. I joined the skills accelerator program because this would help me to gain work experience and also increase my skills in becoming a technician or an  electrician.

How has Skills Accelerator benefited you thus far?

The skills accelerator venture has benefitted me positively ,it helped me with high in demand skills such as back-end-coding , building no-code and coded websites, mobile applications ,leadership , radiology and animation videos. This skills accelerator venture has impacted me positively and taught me high in demand skills.

What were some of your highlights?

so I dont have any low lights ,there are only highlights such as adapting to the tech world .my highlights are learning coding ,website building ,social innovation .another highlight would be when we shared out pamphlets in Mitchells Plain to youth and making hope contagious by providing youth with job opportunities. another highlight would be engaging with people outside of my community and listening to their stories and sharing my story. I also featured twice on Rlabs,fm.

What would you tell unemployed youth about this opportunity?

never give up , keep on going, perseverance is key . Do not look at where you coming from look at where you are going too. Try to learn a new skill everyday . Try out free courses on google that gives certification. there are many opportunities for youth out there dont not give up and go the extra mile to achieve greatness.
